I have two reasons for writing this article.
First reason is that human rights fighter from Strasbourg city, France, Mr. Sayd-Emin Ibragimov sent me an appeal about brutal violations of rights of Russian citizen in Egypt, Mr. Mankyev. He was arrested (I think we should consider this action in this way) by secret services of Egypt (as some web-media informed their readers). We can suppose that Mr. Mankyev would be blamed in terrorism or extremism activity.
Second reason for writing this article is information from the press-release sent to me by Citizens Commission on Human Rights of Russia (CCHR Rus, one of Russian non government organizations) about successful presentation and work of human rights exhibition “Psychiatry. Industry of Death” in Nizhny Novgorod city. This exhibition was created by Citizens Commission on Human Rights International (CCHR Int) and sent into Russian Federation in 2006. This exhibition was presented by CCHR Int to CCHR Saint-Petersburg (www.cchr.spb.ru), Russia. The main aim of the exhibition is enlightening people about psychiatric violations in different countries of the world: United States of America, Russian Federation, Chinese People's Republic and others. One of the main items of the exhibition is fighting with terrorism, denouncement of some psychiatrists who created ideology of terrorism such as some Soviet psychiatrists from Patris Lumumba University in USSR who taught future “red” terrorists: Il'ich Ramires Sanches and others.
We can expect that every Government in the world should investigate such “coaches”-psychiatrists or psychologists and if national court would find these people guilty, they should be prosecuted accordant national laws... And we also expect that Governments will protect their citizens from groundless false accusations of their citizens. Due International Declaration of Human Rights person if his guilt was not proved should be considered innocent. Probably, authorities should consider that Mr. Mankyev is not guilty. And he should be free or he should have opportunity to communicate with his attorney whom he (himself) have chosen. But as Mr. Sayd-Emin Ibragimov informed me in his appeal to different human rights fighters nobody really protected Mr. Makyev's rights.
We also expect that human rights fighters will insist that real creators of discord between nations, creators of terrorism must be found by authorities and prosecuted.
In different published in web-media texts CCHR Saint-Petersburg informed what they did for informing society about psychiatric violations and about psychiatric creation of terrorism.
Below I describe that was published in different web-media about exhibition “Psychiatry. Industry of Death” in Saint-Petersburg.
For example, text against violations during involuntary hospitalizations into psychiatric hospitals and psychiatric fraud with flats of their patients was published this year. This situation can be considered as kind of psychiatric terrorism against their patients. A title of this text was: “About Fraud with Apartments and InvoluntaryForced Psychiatry in St-Pete”. It is written in this press-release about forthcoming public hearing about the same item during exhibition “Psychiatry. Industry of Death” in St-Pete. This article was published in 6 web-media (www.b2blogger.com www.smi2.ru and others).
It was written an article about link of involuntary hospitalizations into psychiatric institutions and psychiatric fraud with apartments of patients. A title of the article was: “Involuntary Psychiatry and Frauds with Flats. Does a Link Exist?” This article was published in 8 web-media (Ichkeria.info, b2blogger.com and others).
There was written post-release and article after public hearing about this item with descriptions how public hearing was done. This post-release was published in 7 web-media (b2blogger.com, smi2.ru etc.). Article with large interview with Mr. V. Grozovsky, attorney, who spoke at CCHR St-Pete public hearing was published in web news agency “Ichkeria.info” (www.ichkeria.info).
Newspapers “Novaya Gazeta” (federal), “Novaya Gazeta v Pitere” (regional) published articles about financial violations in psychiatric asylum in St-Pete. Also “Novaya v Pitere” wrote that in one psychiatric asylums in St-Pete there are nearly 260 inhabitants, every year in this asylum 50 – 60 inhabitants died!!! Can we consider that such brutal treatment with their patients or inhabitants by psychiatrists or staff members of psychiatric asylums is kind of terrorism? These articles were published in printed versions of these newspapers and their web-sites.
Newspaper “Novy Peterburg” this year published an article about the exhibition and public hearing of CCHR. A title of the article was “About Fraud with Flats and Involuntary Psychiatry in Saint-Petersburg”. “Novy Peterburg” is regional weekly newspaper.
Famous web-media “Centr Extremal'noy Zhurnalistiki” (Center of Extreme Journalism) published info about CCHR press-conference and exhibition. A title of the text is: “Expert: Analytical Materials about Violations of Rights of Children Are Rarely and Rarely Appearing in Media of St-Pete”. Web-media “Novaya Gazeta” in Saint-Petersburg published also brief info about the exhibit of CCHR St-Pete with few photos done at the exhibition. This info was published at the web-site of this regional newspaper: http:www.novayagazeta.spb.ru2009608
Also this article was published in printed version of this newspaper (issue # 60 for 17 – 19 August).
Web-media vsesmi.ru (allmedia.ru) published an information about the exhibition, what's happening at the exhibition etc.: http:www.vsesmi.runews3110345 The date of this published text is: 05.08.2009. A title of the published text is: “Exhibition “Psychiatry. Industry of Death” Is Successfully Enlightening Quests in Saint-Petetsrburg”. So, you can see that human rights advocates do inform society with the exhibitions about psychiatric violations and about some psychologists, psychiatrists who create terrorism. We can expect that investigations of Russian authorities about psychiatrists who possibly create discord between nations (including hatred against “Caucasians” in Russia) will start. But now we do not see such invests.
Also Russian authorities do not protect really rights of people who possibly are blamed in terrorism, extremism like in case of Mr. Makyev (as Mr. Sayd-Emin Ibragimov informs us).
I as human rights advocate kindly ask Russian authorities to change their attitude to situation with creation of terrorism. People who really create terrorism should be found. Persons who are innocent should be protected by authorities...
